The Truth About The QANON Movement (Op-Ed)

The Truth About The QANON Movement (Op-Ed)

Yesterday Rolling Stone came out with a new article highlighting the QAnon movement and rehashed the idea that they believe John F. Kennedy Jr. is alive and kicking.

“Hardcore Q believers think that JFK Jr. is not only alive and well, but also that he plans to emerge from his 20-year hiatus from public life by coming out and supporting Trump as his running mate in 2020. Moreover, they believe that a guy in Pittsburgh named Vincent Fusca is actually JFK Jr. in disguise, and they have made T-shirts promoting this belief. (Seriously. You can buy them on Amazon.)

The article goes on to explain how some of the followers of QAnon believe that JFK Jr. will show himself after 20 years on the Fourth of July. While surely some people do believe JFK Jr. conspiracy theory, it surely isn’t reserved to just QAnon followers. While some of the anons on the research board have the opinion that JFK Jr. is still alive, most of the group members believe he is dead due to the facts that have been presented over the years.

They also believe that the mainstream media uses this conspiracy as a misinformation campaign to discredit their movement. If mainstream media were to truly care and do the research, it would be easy to see that the elusive “Q” had posted back in December of 2018 confirming that JFK Jr. is dead. Due to the fact that the board allows for free thinkers and free sharing of opinion, you will always have non-believers. Its in our human nature to question any and everything we hear and see.

Over the last few years there have been many articles written in mainstream media about this group of followers. Most notably to us was the fact that Newsweek had an entire page dedicated to all of their QAnon articles. Over the last 15 months they have written 12 articles about this movement and none of them have been flattering. Almost every major mainstream media group including CNN, MSNBC, FOXNEWS, NBCNEWS, and ABCNEWS. The Washington Post even got into the action and called them, “A deranged conspiracy cult.”

Now with all that negative publicity you are supposed to think that these anonymous people are “white supremacists” or “conspiracy nuts“. The mainstream media has pushed numerous theories of their own about the group and have tried to link a few high profile events including, the New Zealand Shooting and the Gambino mob boss shooting to this group of researchers. The media blasted images of the mob boss shooter depicting a pen drawn “Q” on his hand to confirm he was following Q. Maybe he was following the boards, but it isn’t confirmed.

The easiest question of many to raise is, where did this violent criminal get a pen while in the courthouse to do this? You could assume that if he is a cult follower who murdered a high profile figure, security would have an eye on him to make sure he wouldn’t harm himself. Mainstream media will link its readers to websites that look to profit off of this movement rather than share the true message of what the movement is trying to accomplish. The video bloggers and others that get promoted by mainstream media just want to try and make a buck off of the few individuals lost in consumerism to realize that the movement is much more than about a Q shirt or Q coin.

It is very interesting that these media moguls will link you to the very people who the media claim are pushing this “racist” and “white nationalist” movement. The mainstream media usually deals in deception and that’s no different with this movement.

The truth is that majority of the “anons” on the mysterious 8-Chan board are very logical people with faith in our country of the United States and only want what’s best for this country. Were you to visit their research board you may find the most offensive “memes” relating to anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, or anti-gay tropes. What you may not realize is that those posts are made by what the anons call “shills”. Shills are people who are paid, or programs made to post divisive memes as well as other links to take a new board viewer away from logic and the greater message they are trying to push.

Not every post is factual or to be taken at 100%. The boards are used by a group of men and women who put their minds together to find out the truth, regardless of where it may take them. To find the truth, you need to be able to think freely and not be afraid to be “doxed” by people who don’t want you to think outside of their box. True anons view themselves as Patriots to this country. They want the corrupt elite out of power and held accountable by rule of law. Anons as well as every American should want equal justice under the law.

“We are researchers who deal in open-source information, reasoned argument, and dank memes. We do battle in the sphere of ideas and ideas only. We neither need nor condone the use of force in our work here.”

This quote is at the top of every Q research thread. It shows that the true intentions of the people on this board are non-violent researchers. They don’t believe in “MAGA” riots and they don’t plan on physically assaulting someone to get their views across. The great fight the anons have deal in facts and sources, not guns and arrows. They weed out hypocrisy within the media and search every corner of the internet to get the truth about our ruling class. Scrutiny of everything they see is their weapon of choice. The anons choose to ask the tough questions that most aren’t willing to ask or even think about.

Currently on their research board the anons have amassed over 8000 threads(sets of approx. 750 posts per thread) during their time on 8-chan and formerly 4-chan. There is so much information to dig through that it can be a daunting task. If you are new to the research you can easily be overwhelmed by all of it. As a new user you need to take the time to read what these people are really saying and get past the divisive posts from the paid “shills”. So to us its amazing that mainstream news can try to give the public the full picture about these followers when it takes a lot of time and effort to confirm the truth that the anons are spreading.

After “lurking” on this board for well over the past year we can safely say we have spent more time reading and navigating what is real and fake about this movement than the mainstream media has. News cycles move fast, so they quickly look to demonize and find an outlet to their anger, especially during these tumultuous times.

Whether the mysterious “Q” figure or figures is real or just another conspiracy, what it has done is encourage the population to think freely and to open their eyes. As Americans it is our duty to hold the government accountable to the rule of law. It is our duty to discern fact from fiction and to question what our leaders tell us. If we as people continue to be sheep and let the elites tell us how to talk, what to say, how to research, they will soon tell us how to think. The elites try to be the alpha and omega when it comes to morality and values.

They are not the be all end all and that what this movement is about. We must reclaim our right to free speech and thoughts without the fear of being prosecuted. We must hold those accountable for the suffering of the People and the truth cannot be stopped from coming out eventually.

This much maligned research board is really about bringing the American people together as a whole. It doesn’t matter your race, religion, or political affiliation. What matters to the anons is that you believe in the values of this great country. Their beliefs are in where the facts and truth leads them no matter the outcome. We all want world where everyone is equal under the law and a world in which peace reins supreme. The researchers on this board want no different.

As we continue to bring you new and old news stories you may have missed, we encourage you to take the dive and plunge into this board. Its worth knowing the truth and really getting to see what this movement is about. We will always do our best to weave through the nonsense whether its through these research boards as well as through mainstream media’s own words. We are here to give the People the truth the best we can in the most unbiased way. Sometimes logic overlaps with bias, but we aren’t afraid to show you the truth and will be happy to take the beating for what we report.

The flame of truth will never be extinguished, and we are here to help hold up that beacon. We hope to continue to spread the light of truth to all Americans and couldn’t do it without these anonymous patriots fine digging skills.

We would also like to give special thanks to the anons that responded to our long time “lurker” turned first time poster. We truly appreciate all the work you do and will do our best to bring the truth out in the open.
